Lady of the Rings.

Yes that is me today.

Canning jar rings that is....;-)

Doing the figs today.

Picked fresh ones last night.

Will do those then tomorrow pears. Have to spread this work out.

Sometimes I have a bad habit of OVER LOADING myself.

Thinking I can do what OLD USE TO BE could do…NOT! ha!

*

Bags are getting there see. Large and med size.

Outsides done, handles done ready for the D rings. Hope to finish today.

Decided to put in a zipper pocket after all was cut out!

Need to practice the zipper pocket thing! Ha!

Wanted to put feet on these too but think I used them all up as I CANNOT FIND any

in here!!!

I also cut some hydrangeas to try to dry some.

I have them hanging on my old ladle hanger.

Wanted them to keep some of the creamy color. We will see.

I normally use the ones that dry on the bush, pretty but they are tea colored.

Look at this pretty dish of mac n cheese!!

I know silly but I think it looked so pretty when it came out of the oven. Ha!!

Was part of supper last night.

So back to work for me!
Oh yes we got 1.5 inches of rain from last nights storm!!!
Hate the storm part, power was blinking, but love the rain..for now..as long as we don't get too much..yada yada yada!!
Haa!

  1. Ooohhh, I can't wait to get canning. I make peach salsa and, every couple of years, apple chutney. This year, if I get enough tomatoes, I'm going to can tomato sauce. Yummm!

I don't think your mac and cheese photo is silly at all. You may recall, I posted a similar picture a few months ago of a dish made by my daughter. Food is pleasant!

  3. What a busy lady! those figs look scrumptious. The bags are gorgeous and the mac and cheese has my stomach growling! All I've canned this year is some jellies, you are making me feel guilty - lol.

  4. What do you do with all those figs? I have to admit, the only time I have eaten them is in Fig Newtons. Educate me!
    Your bags are so beautiful.
A deep curtsy to you, My Lady.

  5. Doing your own canning and freezing is the only way to go. I love homemade Mac 'n Cheese and yours looks great. I'm curious, what do you use your figs for? My daughter bought a house where there was fig tree, but she hasn't done anything with them yet. Any suggestions?
