Oh My Stars!
Do you recall when Samantha the witch used to say this on Bewitched! Love it!
You can say it but not be 'curs'n' as my Mama called swearing!
Well I am not curs'n or swearing but sewing up some Scrappy Stars.
There was a Sew Along on these last year I believe, on Terry's Treasures blog.
Was not able to sew a lot at that time.
I did however do some cutting of scraps on the Go!
Go figure! ;-)
Please do not stare at the ironing board cover on this board! HORRID!
Need a new one. Either make one or go find one! This is a small antique wooden ironing board I use in my sewing room that I adore!
Now a dilemma I am having with my rulers. They are slipping on the fabric when I am cutting! They have the Omnigrid Invisible Grip on the backs too! So not sure what is up with that. Wonder if it wears out over time!

Your star blocks look great! I think there are lots of friends still finishing their's up, so you're not really behind. I use a clear first aid tape on the back of my rulers and they don't seem to slip.ReplyDelete
The blue looks wonderful in the stars. I haven't had my griper slip, but I wonder if maybe washing the back would help. I know that works with my Supreme Slider.ReplyDelete
Oooooh!!! I like your version, very nice and I am still working on mine. They are relaxing and just for me, so no stress and all that stuff. My stuff if starting to peel off of my rulers, it has been on a really really long time so it probably does where out.ReplyDelete
Hold your ruler so that your pinkie and that part of your palm lines up with the outer edge. That should help with slippage. Learned that trick from Kaye England.ReplyDelete
I easily solved that problem--ReplyDelete
I went out and bought a new ruler!!!!
I love the Creative Grid ones and the newer ones are even better than the old ones--
my numbers where even wearing off on the old one--the one I use most of the time--
Hugs, Di and miss gracie
Ps--they do sell 'sand dots' and I keep a package of those on hand and they do the trick most of the time too..
Your stars with the blue points are sure pretty, the color really adds to the unity. Nice ~ReplyDelete
They are coming out great!!!ReplyDelete
I love your stars Lola, what a pretty way to use up scraps. I'd love to know the dimensions of the blocks and point part. I just bought one of those cutters yesterday. Curious now how it's going to work! Keep up the beautiful work.ReplyDelete
They look terrific and will make a fabulous quilt. Love stars! Love scrappy!ReplyDelete
