...Easter that is, for another year!
All pretty to begin!
Aunt Alma's Wedgwood China, Miss Nellie's glasses, DH's Granny's table cloth and my silver ware.
Napkins I have had for a long time.
I used the paper egg doilies as place cards!;-)
Kids table ! A card table and chairs.
Used Great Grandmother Belle's plates.
White china animal napkin rings.
Bunny rabbit napkin ring.
Looking into dining room from living room.
I used some white chair covers on the folding chairs .
Should have pressed them!
Here is table getting ready for sit down. The pink is our prayer for the meal.
Yes all the pretty stuff comes off to make room for food!;-)
Country Ham
Roasted Turkey Breast with Mustard Garlic Honey Sauce.
Deviled Eggs
Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Raisins
Potato Broccoli Casserole
Brussels Sprouts with Parmesan Cheese Sauce
Fresh and Hot out of oven Honey Rolls
Sweet Ice Tea
This was one dessert we enjoyed.
Sis-in -law made this from a recipe in this month's Southern Living Magazine.
We also had DH's Coconut Pie and nephew brought Banana Pudding Cheese Cake.
Shall we say STUFFED!!
Our two sweet grand nieces! Are they not adorable!
They enjoyed the little Easter Baskets!
Tried to get a pic of grand dog Beamer but he was in constant motion!! haha!
Was a lovely day spent with loved ones!
Picked these Iris Saturday. A pale yellow.
Waiting on the rest to bloom soon!
Today wind was blowing hard but warm and dry!
Had two loads of wash dry in less time then it took to wash them!
I have some finish up appts with dentist this week.
That will mess up a couple days being able to get more stuff done around here.
I am going to plug on though!!
Hope you enjoyed your Sunday as much as we did ours!
Now back to the grindstone of the work week!!!
Looks like a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteWe kind of missed Easter this year. Too much chaos in the house, plus a quick visit from the OnlyChild. I never got the Easter decorations out or any presents bought. We had Chinese food for dinner yesterday. Sigh. Oh well...next year will be special.
Your table looks wonderful! And that dessert looks so yummy! :0)
ReplyDeleteI should have snuck in the back door and eaten with Beamer. 'cept I would have sneezed and gotten caught. Everything looks so pretty and yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table! And the menu... Strawberry meringue cake? Is that what it is? Yum!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad it was a good time.
Looks like you had a wonderful Easter holiday! Good luck with the dentist this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special treat to have the tables looking so wonderful.....and the dinner, can't believe I was not invited....Pooey!
ReplyDeleteLove your table settings and menu! I did not take a picture of the food nor the tables...got camera out too to take pics of the grandkids, family, food, tables, etc. At least DD took pics of the three wee ones.
ReplyDeleteI wish my Easter was nice like this one!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a really nice Easter also Lola. Your table looks so beautiful. It's so special to be able to spend the holidays with family isn't it!?
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you had a very nice Easter! Your food looks so delicious and I sure with I had a piece of that yummy looking cake!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
What I wouldn't give to get an invite to this shindig! ann :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you had a really nice Easter, I'm so glad! What a beautiful table setting. Our Easter was very quiet, family lives 9 hours away, sigh. Really like your header photo of fabric. I can't believe you have irises already. Mine are about 20 inches - won't bloom for another 2 or 3 weeks likely, but we are further north than you. It's been so dry here, so it's really slowed things down, even with the early spring.
ReplyDeleteI am hankering coconut cake. What is it with Easter and coconut, lol?
