Christmas Eve in the Dining Room

Oh my! It is Christmas Eve already! One more day till the big event!
We will be going to niece's home this evening for supper.
Ride home looking at pretty lights!

Christmas morning we will have breakfast guests.
Then for dinner will go to family gathering at DH's sister's home.
Still busy. Cooking and baking for gifts.

Here is our mantle. All our stocking hung with care!
Made them in 2005 from some sweet tapestry fab I found.

This Santa and lots of red nose reindeer was another BD gift for  tree. Looks cute in greenery on mantle too. Hard to get a good pic of them all blinking.

Dining room is ready for a festive fun meal!
DH and I have been enjoying the fun center piece for all our meals.

Just poked stuff here  and there.
 No big plan. Nothing new.

Now  it is a bit messy! We been baking up a storm!

Here is the  sweet gingerbread house DH surprised me with one year.
LOVE IT! Looks real enough to eat!

Some baked but non edible ginger bread men!

Pie safe full of nutcrackers and other sweet things.

My Christmas couple. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
Now this cutie is a baking cooking elf my daughter gave me many moons ago!
Bittersweetfolkart Olde Santa. He is so elegant really!

Aunt Alma always used these on her table at Christmas time.

Side board  loaded with cute stuff.

When I look out my window this is my view always!;-)

Table today! Getting ready for the day tomorrow with all special dishes and glassware.

Plus piled up with a few baked goodies. Yummy pound cakes and walnut kolachies in foil.

Here is a pile of candy and cookies we must bag up today to give as our gifts. DH is also baking a special cake for tomorrow. We will also prepare some of our breakfast food tonight. Busy days but fun ones!

I get a bit weepy missing those I loved dearly but live does go on and I find love and warmth with those I still have with me. Cherishing the memory of those gone on.

My wish to you all is that you too have loved ones to share this special time with and enjoy the day.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!
