Weekend Sewing

Thanks so much to everyone who commented on my Show Your Rooster Party post!
Such fun to show off some of my fellas and also to visit others posts!
You can still go Rooster Party Looking just click on the Rooster Party button to see the list hosted by Barb!

We had a busy weekend.
DH and I went to Williamsburg Outlet Malls Saturday.
Me to look.. him to buy.
I know that is just not 'right' sounding is it! hahaha!

DH loves to go to the 'cooking shops' as he calls them.
Well he ended up with a new Calphalon stainless skillet and a new breadknife.
I did buy an apron. Very nicely made too for just 4.50!
Kicking myself for not buying more to applique for gifts!

We found Tim Tams at the Pepperidge Farm Outlet!

Yes should have bought more of them too....well maybe not;-)

Looked around some other shops so lots of walking.
Came on back through Newport News, grabbed a bite to eat.
Had to pick up some new tractor belts.
Otherwise we would have came back on the ferry to Scotland's Wharf.
We were 'so done' when we got home.
Was a rather warm day for sure.

Did a wee bit of sewing Sunday evening.
Went from this:

To this:

Cute sewing machine cover for Bernina!
Made this from an old handmade pillow sham!
No not made by me, bought it many years ago.
So today some chores calling my name!;-(
Hope to get some other sewing done later.

Thanks to all my new followers for joining me here!
I appreciate all my followers!!!

Have a wonderful Monday!

  3. What a cute machine cover! I've got some old quilts that I bought from a yard sale that would be good turned into a machine cover. A little tattered in places but not nice enough to display. But cut apart, would make a cute cover. Thanks for sharing! Jenn

  4. Sounds like a fun day! I've never had a Tam Tam, but they're chocolate, right? Yummmm. Now I'm craving chocolate.

Very nice sewing machine cover; what a creative way to use that pillow sham.
